Bought new DS708 in '13, updated in '14 and 2015 and now being told no more updates for this scanner?????

Bought the scanner (MaxiDAS DS708) brand new in 2013 for small independent shop. Update included for 2014. Paid $700 for update in 2015 and now it needs updating again and customer - sortof-service said autel not offering updates on this scanner anymore?This is an extreme problem for us.Another concern I have is when looking thru scanner on Installed Programs screen it shows several car makes that I KNOW were updated in 2015, listed with "Update Date" of 2008?????????? What the heck is this all about? Were we scammed?
